WALT: Summarise and analyse ideas and information from different texts. Hello bloggers this week is the Maori New Years and I hope all of you are celebrating but this week our create tasks were different because the theme was Matariki the seven sisters and I learn't that Matariki is a cluster not a constellation and the Matariki has a lot more stars because the Matariki cluster has 500 stars in the cluster family the Matariki is only about the seven stars because they are very bright and they can led you home.

Video #1: My first Matariki story was about two sisters that don’t get along but there mother told them a story about the Matariki stars that started with Ranginui and papatuanuku they made the seven sisters but the seven sisters were very annoying so parents asked Matariki to get her sisters so Matariki got her sisters and the parents got the sisters to do a task to stay. | Video #2: My second story of the Matariki stars was about people using the stars to guide them. |
Te Papa Website: Did you know that the Matariki stars are clusters of stars not a constellation there are 500 stars in the Matariki cluster but we can only see 7 because the 500 stars out there are very far away | Celebrating Puanga at Ramanui: In many parts of Aotearoa, people celebrate the Maori New Year when Matariki known as the seven sisters show up.It is good luck if you see the seven stars at night but it is bad luck if you don’t see the seven stars. |
WALT: Make connections between ourselves, other texts and world.
Hello bloggers this week I have been working on my create tasks. This week my story I was reading was the empty pot it was about a boy who wanted to be a emperor but he had to grow a flower but he couldn't.
